Leadership

The Foundation for Workforce Mobility was established in 2004 to provide an institution to study, educate and report on issues of interest to business leaders who must maintain a mobile workforce to thrive in today’s world markets. As such, it widens the outreach from the global mobility industry to a broader business community, both in the United States and around the world, in addition to its charitable giving.

Through our Foundation, we can accomplish several initiatives:

  • Accept grants and awards from other organizations to conduct research.
  • Bring a higher understanding and appreciation of global workforce mobility to the business world at large.
  • Hold fund-raising events to benefit charities and to build a fund to provide support to members or groups in times of national or global crisis.
  • Release research from organizations or individuals.
  • Establish and offer education from a broad business perspective.

One of the Foundation’s most significant qualities is its potential to provide research and education that is of interest to, and that benefits, a broad business audience. The Foundation will:

  • Conduct studies and make research available on strategic business issues.
  • Deliver education on workforce mobility-related issues to a broad public audience.

Funds received by the Foundation are directed toward education, research, scholarship programs and charitable outreach at the discretion of its Board of Trustees.  Fundraising through the Foundation allows Worldwide ERC® to:

  • Offer response to emergencies or crises within the Worldwide ERC® membership and workforce mobility industry and to those situations of a national or global nature.
  • Channel funds to recognized charitable organizations.
  • Develop events and communications that fund the Foundation’s charitable outreach.

The Foundation is governed by an appointed Board of Trustees, each of whom serve on one of three committees: Charitable Outreach, Research and Education or Scholarship. Trustees serve three years, beginning in the month of January.
